Dealing with the London Embassy
First Contact
Packet #3 At this time, we can't really find all the info about packet 3, so we will have to speak generally. Other websites (see the links page) go into this bit in more detail anyway! The information you receive from the embassy includes various checklists and forms. Most of the forms you won't actually need until you go for your K-1 interview. This is also your time to make sure that any paperwork the U.S. spouse needs to do gets done. This includes (but is not limited to) the I-134 Affidavit of support, a new letter certifying intent to marry, a certified birth certificate, and any 'evidence of a valid relationship' you feel is appropriate. Our experience with this shows that the stronger a case you made in the I-129F application, the less paperwork will actually be needed at the interview. (It is still best to bring a reasonable amount... see Dan's K-1 Interview Experience for more details.) Packet #4 (Paperwork taken to the Interview)
